New User Posts: 3 | My husband took his daughter to her Orthopiedic Surgon on Wednesday, it has been 8 months since her sergery and no adjustments. The Dr. stated that he will be unable to adjust her at this time due to an FDA halt on the product? Does anybody know about this? We are extremely concerned as she is merely 7yrs old and growing like a weed...

Regular Posts: 91 Location: florida | we just went to the Ortho last Thursday and Logan has not had the surgery yet due to the hospital not having the VEPTR program in place yet, but they are working on getting it approved at Florida hospital in Orlando and the Dr only told me that it is NOT FDA approved but it IS HUD approved so he can still do the surgery for people who meet the criteria. If i were you tho id find out what is going on at that hospital and if they dont figure it out soon i'd seek another Dr to do the expansion because growing kids can't wait

Member Posts: 22 Location: Maryland | For what it's worth, our daughter just got her right VEPTR placed and had her left one expanded by Dr. Campbell less than a week ago. Edited by The Handleys 2010-10-23 2:35 PM
