Has anyone out there had this device used for a spinal deformity involving a VERY pronounced kyphus??

Yes. VEPTR doesn't treat kyphosis super great, but it will often stabilize or slightly reverse the curve. When the child becomes older, better treatments and spinal fusion are often the "last stage". But that's way down the road.
