| Has anyone dealt with infection on the rods. Bradley had veptr placement Jan. 16th and expansion May 11th. 3 weeks later we went in for emergency surgery its all over the rod. they put a drain in and kept it open. Our ortho here in Akron, Ohio is talking to Dr. Campbell to see whats best to do. There is no way we could have made it back to Philly. Symptoms came out of nowhere. Last nite bubble appeared and here we are:( Has anyone else dealt with this? We are just sick to our stomachs:( Please pray for him. Thank you Danette |

Location: Utah | Braydon has not had an infection in his back (knock on wood it stays that way!). Several families on this board have dealt with infection. Some have had to have the rods removed. Others have done heavy-duty IV antibiotics that help. Every patient is different. Hopefully this is infection does not go septic. Many best wishes he recovers quickly.
