Roudrabh has his chkup on July 2nd in Gillette Children.Dr. will see if there is any progreesion of curve.I am feeling so weired..checking his trunk again and again. To my eyes..his rib hump is more noticable, but, his dad thinks that looks the same.I know here are many kids who had their VEPTR implanted in their 1st yr of life.But..I wish he could have another surgery free year.I want him learn talking before any surgery so that he can express his discomfort.

Nabanita.

I'm thankful that the drs. keep track of our kids regularly. I actually had to change drs. for Sumana almost 2 years ago because I felt the dr. wasn't following her as closely as he should. Now she will be able to get the VEPTR . . . which we had never heard of before.

I can totally understand your desire to have him surgery-free until he can learn to talk. I'll be praying that things are stable! E-mail me privately sometime . . . I want to hear about what's going on.

Hang in there, Nabinita!

Nabanita,

We'll be thinking of you and Roudrabh on July 2.  Hopefully the news will be good.  Learning what is "normal" for our kids is not easy.  One day you will find peace knowing he is healthy and as strong as possible.  I believe that.  You are doing a great job with him.  We are always here for cyber-support.

Thank you all,for your prayers. They did work for Roudrabh. His curve increased very little which is normal measurement error range. So,no surgery for atleast coming 6mnths.Though Dr. leudtke again reminded me Roudrabh's congenital scoliosis is too much complicated...jumbled up with many things. She wants to see him again after 6 mnths.

Thanks again
Nabanita.

Yea!!! That's good news! We'll keep praying that the curve will SLOW down! 6 months is quite a gift at this point, huh??!! Thanks for sharing!
